That said, it’s important to be clear about what this work is — and what it isn’t.

Coaching is not therapy

Coaching offered through A Bedford Consulting is reflective and developmental in nature.

It is designed to support:

• clearer thinking

• reflection

• personal or professional development

• workplace conversations

• practical progress

It is not therapy, counselling, psychotherapy, or psychiatric treatment.

​

Lived experience is perspective, not clinical advice

​

Some work draws on lived experience of:

​

• ADHD

• mental health challenges

• substance use disorder

• long-term recovery

• workplace experience

This perspective can be valuable.

​

But lived experience should not be treated as medical, psychiatric, or therapeutic advice.

No crisis or emergency support

​

A Bedford Consulting does not provide crisis intervention or emergency mental health support.

​

If you are in immediate danger or need urgent support:

• contact your GP

• access appropriate crisis services

Organisational outcomes

​

Speaking, coaching, and advisory work can support clearer thinking, stronger conversations, and practical development.

But no organisation-wide outcome can be guaranteed.

​

Real change depends on leadership, culture, implementation, and wider organisational factors.

Individual responsibility

Clients and organisations remain responsible for their own decisions, actions, and implementation.
